Office Talk: Staff Out and Scleral Fits! - E36
There were two big things that stuck out this past week. The first was that my office manager and my second in command were out with personal commitments or sick. Now this does not seem to be that big of a deal, except for the fact that my other staff members have been on the job for a year or less. It is times like these that you figure out if you have a smooth operating machine or an office completely dependent on one or two people. I am proud to say we have a smoothly run machine. We felt a little short handed, but were able to operate without adjusting the schedule or any major hiccups.
The second big thing was that I had two scleral lens fits. My scleral lens clinic is starting to get some momentum and the patient responses have made it well worth the time and effort to learn. My staff has heard me talking about the benefits of sclerals and how life changing they can be. It has been very fulfilling for them to see first hand the patient responses.
Overall, the work we do each and every day to make the office better or add a specialty is worth it. Stay strong and keep getting better my friends.
