Office Talk: How You Act Outside the Office Matters - E38
In this week's office talk we are going to be talking about relationships. Relationships are the lifeblood of what we do. Think about it, that's why your patients keep coming back, they have a relationship with you that they value.
I bring this up because I had a patient switch to my office to be fit with scleral lenses because of a relationship I did not know I had. He heard about me because his mother in law worked for my lawyer and in the process of filing for a DBA she knew I fit specialty contact lenses. Additionally, in the same week, the salesman that installed the window tint for my office saw some of our internal marketing and called me to see if I could fit him for orthokeratology. Pretty cool right?
Now, I bring this up because how we act and carry ourselves outside the office will affect how quickly we grow and attract new patients. Had I been a difficult client or customer, that would have followed me and I may not have had the opportunity to work with these two patients. Our actions matter and someone is always watching. Be a person that people want to have a relationship with and see your practice grow!
