Office Talk with Myopia Management - E11
I alluded to it earlier this week, but remember the people who got you here are not the people who will get you there. You need to be constantly training your staff and hiring the most talented people you can find. In order to keep these people you will have to give up some control, accept that they may be better than you at certain aspects of the job (personality, marketing, organization) and that is ok. Your job is to get them to work together with a common vision that YOU have developed and maximize their talents to grow your office.
Now as I write this I just hired 2 staff members with bachelor's degrees in hospitality and tourism and business administration. These are completely outside the box hires for me, but I know where I want to go and what I need to get there. I am going to do everything in my power to practice exactly what I am preaching. I will keep you updated on how that goes!
In the world of myopia management, things are good. I had a very good training session with Euclid in regards to how to utilize the medmont topographer, referred a few more patients for consultations, and have 2 dispensing appointments for Ortho-k therapy this week. Everyday the process becomes smoother and easier. I will report back next week on the dispensing appointments and any nuggets of wisdom I gain along the way.
