In Michigan Covid cases are spiking again and my schedule was a little less busy than the weeks previous. That being said, I talked to a few of my colleagues and they are going through the same thing. It may not help our bottom line, but knowing that we are not going this alone and every doctor in the country is facing similar challenges is comforting. Whether we have more stay at home orders or continue running as usual, I think this is a great time to communicate with your staff. Let them know what you see on the horizon and do not sugar your plans of action. They, much like you, are living in a time of uncertainty and how you lead them through this is going to stick with them for years to come, so if you see lay-offs coming or plan to stay open regardless of what comes down the pipe, keep them in the loop. They will appreciate it.
