Closing Thought of the Week: Play the Long Game - E37
I was listening to a podcast and they started talking about ESPN broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit. The story went as such, when Herbstreit finished college he was offered a job for 70k a year or an entry level broadcasting job for 12k per year. He took the 12k job and worked his way to being considered one of the preeminent college football broadcasters in America.
Why do I tell you this story? I feel it is core and key to starting a practice or building anything that is worthwhile. You have to put in the time to be great. Nothing happens overnight and the quicker you realize what you want and put your time, effort, and energy into achieving that goal and investing in yourself, the sooner it is going to happen for you.
Avoid short term riches, play the long game, and invest in your most valuable asset, yourself!
Have a great weekend my friends.
