This was a relatively calm week. The things that jumped out to me were 1. Myopia Management is going to be big. See Coopervisions acquisition of GP specialist. All the big industry names are going all in and investing real money in what they see coming down the pipeline.
2. Get a good topographer. It makes such a big difference when you are trying to learn. I have not been thrilled with Medmont’s customer service, but I get great scans and the ability to send them to my lab and having them teach/walk me through the analysis of said scans is priceless. 3. Setting expectations for your High Rx (over a -4.00) ortho-k patients is critical to being successful. Try to set realistic expectations and over deliver on your results.
