You want to be successful? Be hard to kill.
How do you become hard to kill? You need to make yourself lean and efficient. This will make it so when things get tough, you will outlast the competition because you aren't wasting your resources. This does NOT mean be short staffed and skimp on things. The key is to manage your numbers and stay aware of what is going on in your office. Do consistent check-ins on all aspects of your business so things don't creep up and get out of hand.
