We all have had to find a way to make it through this crazy pandemic and hopefully you did more than just survive it. In order to not let the pain be in vain, in this episode I boil down all the craziness of the pandemic into 3 things you should have taken away from lockdown (00:41).

Reading optometric journals and articles are important ways to stay on top of our game and on the cutting edge of our profession. But let’s be honest, after a long day at work, that’s not going to sound the most appealing. Don’t worry, I did the heavy lifting for you and give you my take on Melton, Thomas, & Vollmer’s Clinical Perspectives on Patient Care (12:05); what was perhaps not so helpful or realistic and what I think is actually good insight and can be applied to our real life practices. If you want to read the article yourself to see what I'm talking about just click the article title for the link.

Since I began my practice, it has been my goal to find a niche in the optometric profession that I can claim as my own. Today I’m going to begin by taking you down memory lane as I explain the start of my journey to find my niche in optometry (19:22). I will be continuing the saga each week with updates and real life experiences as they happen!
